Debbie Patterson has had the privilege of offering counselling as a career/training professional for 15 years through traditional and online mediums. Through various adult education models, she has custom-designed and delivered programs in human resources/development, career management, communication, personal empowerment and strategic planning for in-class and virtual classrooms.
She has vision and creativity to respond to change in a flexible fashion. Debbie has the ability to spontaneously create unique individual and group "environments" for learning. Her counselling style exhibits decisiveness, good judgment, careful organization and planning. She uses humour in her delivery that supports learning; and her focus is always on the client.
As a "life long learner", Debbie's academic background is concentrated in adult education and training. She is a Masters in Education-Adult Education and Distance Education Candidate, University of Phoenix; earned a B.Ed. in Adult Education from Brock University, holds a Certification in Adult Education-Train The Trainer from St. Francis-Xavier University; has focused other training in Human Resources and Business; and holds several certifications as a Trainer/Facilitator in counselling and training.
