Pepsi Bottling Group
Headquartered in Somers, NY, U.S.A. Pepsi Bottling Group was incorporated on January 6, 1999 in Delaware, which is a division of PepsiCo. The company went public in March 1999. Pepsi Bottling Group also known as PBG is world’s largest in terms of manufacturing, selling and distributing Pepsi Cola beverages. They operate in countries like United States, Mexico, Canada, Russia, Spain, Turkey and Greece. PepsiCo still has an equity interest in PBG of about 45 percent. PBG accounts for more than fifty percent of the Pepsi-Cola beverages sold in North America and about 40 percent of the Pepsi-Cola beverages worldwide. The company produces and sells more than 1.8 billion physical cases of beverages each year. PBG has more than 57 plants in the U.S. and 103 plants worldwide. The company has 298 distribution centers in the U.S. and 546 internationally. Pepsi Bottling Group employs more than 70,000 people worldwide.
What they do?
They manufacture, distribute and sell Pepsi products, which include Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Mug Root Beer, Slice, Sobe, Aquafina, Tropicana and Dole. They also manufacture and distribute Frappuccino for Starbucks. One of the highest selling products of PBG is Aquafina. PBG also bottles and sells regional products and brands, including the Mirinda flavors line, Manzanita Sol, KAS flavors and mixers, Fiesta flavors and Fruko flavored carbonated soft drinks.
