  • Founded 1986 (pre-internet) as The DMV User Group, by employees of NCR, West Columbia South Carolina.
  • Original BBS was written in bourne shell by James A. Simmons, founder and president, and was hosted on an original NCR TOWER 16/32 business computer system, based in a corner of the main computer room of NCR Engineering & Manufacturing (pre-AT&T)in West Columbia, SC. Connection was -via- 1200 Baud modem.
