- When I began Rick Perry vs the World, I did so as a lark, intending to chronicle for myself the impending gubernatorial primary race between Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Governor Rick Perry. The primary looked very likely to occur, and increasingly so as a shadow primary developed between the Hutchison and Perry campaigns...and all the sudden I had readers. I didn't intend that. What began as an effort intended solely for me became something that strangers told me that they enjoyed and liked to read. So I kept posting.
