- Andrew Phillips MD - Dr Phillips first came to the Arcadia area in 1996 when he joined the faculty of the USC School of Medicine as the Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology at the Doheny Eye Institute. During that year a well-respected ophthalmologist, Harold Ward MD, donated his local Arcadia practice to USC and Dr Phillips began to transition more of his USC practice to this new Arcadia location. The Arcadia practice grew rapidly, and it became clear that there was a need for more state-of-the-art comprehensive ophthalmology in the San Gabriel Valley. In 2005, Dr Phillips established the Phillips Eye Center to accomplish just this. Our Center is dedicated to bringing modern techniques and modern equipment to a more accessible location.
