PHIPPS FOOTBALL magazine is written and published by Larry Phipps d/b/a LWP enterprises, a sole proprietorship which is registered in the State of South Carolina. The 2004 edition is our seventh annual edition. The PHIPPS CHARITABLE NETWORK is registered in the state of South Carolina, also.
PHIPPS, the magazine, is a nuts-and-bolts magazine that caters to the hard-core SEC fan. Our focus is strictly on just the 12 SEC teams. We don't try to be experts about all the teams in college football. When it comes to SEC football, no other magazine has as much content. Our magazine isn't flashy. We don't incorporate full-page color photos. We feel real fans want as much information as they can get, so we focus on content as opposed to looks. You will find stats and features that no other magazine has. The 2004 edition has predictions for every game to be played in the SEC this season. Three-to-five sentences and a score are written for every game.
The vast majority of our readers tell us our magazine is the best on the market. Our magazine is more editorial than journalistic, which separates it from the others. We don't hire beat writers from each school to write about the different teams. We base our opinions primarily by studying hours of tape on all 12 teams. Then, we incorporate opinions from our contacts throughout the Southeast, by research and a detailed study of statistical trends.
