P&S is really just a forum for surf fishermen, since the best way to inform people is to let them talk to each other. If you want to file a fishing report, ask for a recipe to cook your catch, or get opinions on tackle, your best bet is to ask those in the know. And who could know more about the subject than other fishermen?
While there certainly are other fishing sites out there, most of them are meant to appeal to boaters and bluewater anglers. I first created this site in late 1999 for a group that usually gets ignored: anglers who ply the bays, sounds and beaches on foot.
I've met plenty of folks in person and look forward to meeting more at the local jetties and taverns. See you on the water.
