After viewing an Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (“AOBA”) sponsored television commercial, discovering a friend had just purchased two young female Alpacas and several farm visits, we had fallen in love with these wonderful creatures called Alpacas. In early 2004, we purchased four pregnant females to start our herd. Of course at this point, we had no barn and no fenced in fields. So, it was time to get to work. We built a nice barn and had three fields fenced.
