PKR.nl is a Dutch online poker community for players of the poker room PKR. The pokergame PKR can be downloaded from their website (or download PKR here).
The community consists of three main elements:
Forums edit
The main activity on PKR.nl occurs on the message board, where PKR players come together to talk about PKR, poker, and their daily lives.
Wiki / Poker school edit
The PKR Wiki serves as an information center about the game PKR, the website PKR.nl, and a pokerschool where members can learn to play the game. All members of the website help writing new articles and contributing to those already existing, to make sure the wiki contains as much useful information as possible.
Tournaments edit
PKR.nl organizes weekly $50 freerolls and monthly $100 and $200 tournaments for the Dutch members of PKR. It is the only PKR community of which PKR allows the players to talk a language other than English in the game (yet only in their private tournaments).

PKR.nl started in early 2007 as just a message board. In over a year time almost 1500 users registered to the forums, but there was hardly any activity.
From April through June of 2008 the website underwent a couple of changes among which were a minor re-style, the addition of a wiki and a new frontpage, and the start of a series of private tournaments that have been growing in popularity ever since.
The website currently has over 2500 members, over 100 of which play in the private tournaments on a regular basis. Each month over $700 of prize money is won in these tournaments. The website also hands out 5 poker sets to their players each month for accomplishing various achievements, among which are winning contests and contributing to the wiki.
