Send a picture of yourself; it's likely to end up proudly displayed in the child's home. Send a letter; many children keep their sponsor's letters neatly in a safe place—forever. Also forever is the impact Plan seeks to have on the health and education of your child, on the ability of her parents to provide for the child, and on the community in which your child plays, makes friends, goes to school, and, eventually, finds paid work.
