Description
The Pocket PC Summit got its start during 2001 as the first trade show and conference dedicated to Microsoft's Pocket PC handheld computer platform. The event was launched and premiered October 10-12, 2001 in Los Angeles, California. The first event gave the growing Pocket PC community and industry of developers and solution providers an opportunity to come together for the first time to network.
The first Pocket PC Awards ceremony also debuted during the first Summit and was co-produced by the amazing people at Pocket PC magazine.
A little more than 6 months after the first Pocket PC Summit, the second Summit was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 28-31, 2002. The event doubled in attendance from the first Summit.
