We are a family research team - PrairieComm was started in 1992. We have been providing computer technical services since then. We have two focuses: website design, development and emarketing and filemaker pro 4-7 and associated programs, such as winbatch. We provide office computer procedures automation. We also provide local (Southeast Iowa) computer troubleshooting for internet issues, databases and operating systems.

Barry Miller's background in computers is broad - primarily in the area of technical support and training, system development and troubleshooting. He brings a detail-oriented, methodical approach to the company.

Barry has worked as a computer technician and programmer since 1990. For several years he configured, built and tested new computers, upgraded computers and made repairs. As a member or team leader of several major helpdesk teams he supported large networks dealing with issues related to security, printers, administration, installation, multiple platforms, Internet, etc. In these capacities he began to develop a specialty of writing application scripts such as the old AppleScript and FaceSpan and later, WinBatch and FilemakerPro in order to automate common office tasks. He also has provided and managed technical support for a local ISP and served as a WAN administrator.
