- Precision Piano Services was officially established in 1989 by Franco Skilan, a third generation Registered Piano Technician. Along with his father, Giovanni Skilan, they have a combined experience of over 60 years in the piano rebuilding and restoration field. With a state-of-the-art facility located in North Hollywood, CA, they successfully repair and restore many of the finest grand pianos produced, most of which are built by the worlds’ most well known manufacturer, Steinway and Sons. To date, the Skilans have worked on over 3000 Steinway grand pianos in one form or another, and have successfully transformed many otherwise useless and worn-out instruments, into concert-level, “as-new” pianos.
