As a native of the Grand Strand, Preston has seen the phenomenal growth that has taken shape over the past 30 years. Preston's mother moved to Myrtle Beach from Jacksonville Florida after marrying his father, also a native to the Myrtle Beach area. Preston spent most of his childhood surfing, fishing, and playing different sports. He is the youngest of three children with two brothers. When Preston was 13 he started working at one of the local restaurants in Myrtle Beach , over the next 10 years he worked at many of the restaurants along the Grand Strand. Many of the relationships he built working in restaurants have been key in his success as a Realtor. After High school Preston started classes at Horry Georgetown Technical College , later transferring to College of Charleston taking Computer Science classes. Preston moved back to Myrtle Beach after college and helped open two restaurants with Divine Dining group. He started his real estate career while working at these restaurants. Within a couple of months he had to give up working in the restaurants to concentrate on his real estate career. Preston now lives and works in Murrells Inlet, and would never live anywhere else. He enjoys golf (has a membership at Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet), fishing, boating, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and working out. He occasionally finds time to paddle back out to enjoy a couple hours surfing.
