- I was born with arthrogryposis, a muscle and joint disorder that fuses the major joints together and causes multiple joint contractures at birth. It affected my hands, elbows, shoulders, knees and ankles and I was told I would never walk. I’ve had 14 orthopedic surgeries and 5 broken bones. Now I’m a first-degree black belt, a Fitness Trainer and I have my own personal training studio.
