prodigy.com was an independent company. It was equally popular as aol.com,compuserve.com. Those three were the granddaddies of the early days of the internet. They were all charging people by hours to use the internet. People also have an option to pay for a monthly whicn allowed them to use the internet for a certain amount of hours. After they used up the monthly allowed hours, they will be charged by hours. It was known to have a kid friendly graphic interference program. So most kids use prodigy, when adults use either compuserve or aol.

The Prodigy Help Center is a great resource when you're connected to Prodigy. You can find answers to many of your questions (the correct e-mail settings, how to upgrade your modem, help with Prodigy tools), or view and update your account information (change your password, update your credit card or address, check your account statement).
Tech support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our billing department is open from 9a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET.
