Project Responder started out with the goal of building a big, head turning, monster truck, because I could. The project began in the spring of 2000 and took six years to complete, working nights and weekends. The result ended up being a fully functional fire/rescue vehicle with 12" of lift, 40" tires, a 460 under the hood and 200 gallons of water in the bed mounted skid unit.
