Title

Bible Prophecy And The End Times

Description

We are concerned with the compromising of God's Holy Word in America. Before Jesus Christ ever preached the gospel, He was filled with the Holy Ghost. Jesus, in the beginning of his ministry, preached saying "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."(Mark 1:15). After Jesus rose from the dead, before He ascended to heaven, it states in Acts 1:3 "To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God." From Jesus' first to last message many times He spoke from place to place about the kingdom of God. But today many things that are preached in America have so much tradition in them that we could never preach these messages in a foreign land. For example, many people tell those who receive Jesus Christ in their heart at an altar call that they are going to heaven. But Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3 "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." In John 3:5 Jesus states "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." Jesus told Nicodemus that not only did he have to be born again but he had to be born of water and of the Spirit to enter into the kingdom of God. The requirements of entering into the kingdom of God are much much greater than just seeing the kingdom of God. Jesus told a parable about ten virgins to show us the difference between seeing the kingdom of God and entering in. Matthew 25:1-12 states:

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not."

In this parable, the ten virgins all represent born again Christians, but only five of them entered into the kingdom of God because they were prepared to meet our Lord Jesus Christ.
