Our genesis at Prototype: can be traced to the booth of a local watering hole in 2002 and mentions of a man known only as the “Godfather”. That’s putting it simply. Truth is, our roots were formed much earlier in attics, basements and cubicles by folks who wanted to grow something fresh against-the-grain. No last names. No pedigree. No traditional processes. Prototype: principals and founders, Todd Allen and Josh Oppenheimer, chose Central Virginia as the place to plant those seeds.
