Title
Farm equipment & machinery - Purdy Manufacturing
Description
Our Company was established in 1950 as Purdy Welding shop in DeWitt, Arkansas. During the 50's and 60' we repaired anything that was broken,
including a few moonshine stills. Business boomed when G.W. Purdy patented a walk-behind tree saw and a tree cutting dozer blade, which would be used to ecconomically clear thousands of farm land acres.
In 1963 the name was changed to Purdy Landlevelers, Inc., after the company invented angled-blade landleveling products. Other Purdy products included grain carts, rice levee squeezers, rollers and small 3-point lift levelers.
