At The Purple Poodle Playground we strive to achieve excellence in all our poodles. We live in O'Neill, Nebraska on a farm. We have been raising poodles for 10 years now. All our puppies are home raised with children. Our poodles are non-shedding, intelligent, loyal, and gentle. They are my best friends. We produce all colors like: Black, Red, Apricot, Silver, Chocolate, Phantom, and Parti.
We have toys, tiny toys, and teacups. The toy poodles are 6 to 8 pounds. The tiny toys are 4 to 5 pounds. The teacups are 2 to 4 pounds full-grown and under 8 inches tall. The teacup poodles are not suitable for every ones lifestyle. I get several e-mails a day from people looking for a teacup. A lot of people get toy poodles and teacup poodles confused. Most people think that they want a teacup, when all they are really looking for is a nice tiny toy poodle. A small toy poodle is still tiny enough to rest in the smallest lap, live in a condo or an apartment. Most true little teacups cannot jump on a couch, a bed, or climb stairs. As puppies, because of their small size they cannot run freely in the whole house, they must be confined in a small playpen. They are not suitable for a household with small children or larger dogs, as they can be easily hurt, drooped, or even stepped on.
Also some poodles are prone to Hypoglycemia, which is (low blood sugar). When a dog uses up all their stored food and it isn't replaced, then the low blood sugar results. The puppy should have frequent meals and plenty of time to rest.
