- The "Desert Legends" series was initiated to preserve the legacy of the Egyptian Arabian and its foundation horses for future generations of breeders. The series began in 2000 with a video honoring *Ansata Ibn Halima, which debuted at the Saturday evening grand Finale of the Egyptian Event. The following year, a video tribute to *Morafic was completed, and in 2002 the Foundation celebrated the venerable foundation mare *Maaroufa.
