Description
Brian served his four year apprenticeship in England as a machinist then moved to sunny California, the land of golden opportunity to continue his career working in machine shops in positions such as CNC machinist, programming and engineering manager, machine shop manager etc, then eventually joining a machine tool distributor in Arizona as an Applications Engineer / Service manager.
During his eight year tenure with the local machine tool distributor Brian was involved in the day to day operations of the company helping the sales and service staff with service, installations and training on CNC equipment. Brian also taught the monthly in house programming classes to customers.
One of Brian's great strengths with being an applications engineer is the ability to sit down with a shop owner or engineer and study the application and come up with a solution to manufacture a part or family of parts utilizing the best machine for the job.
