Quinte Waste Solutions
Description
Quinte Waste Solutions is an organization responsible for all waste reduction programs for a group of municipalities that includes Belleville, Quinte West, Tyendinaga, Prince Edward County, Centre Hastings, Stirling/Rawdon, the Municipalities of Tweed, Madoc Township and Marmora & Lake. Quinte Waste Solutions is administered by the Centre & South Hastings Waste Services Board, which is made up of one member from each of the above municipalities.
On behalf of these municipalities, Quinte Waste Solutions operates the Blue Box recycling program, Hazardous Waste Collection programs as well as programs to divert organic materials including food scraps and leaves and brush from landfill.
