The Racing Post, originally exclusively a racing and betting daily in Britain and Ireland, was established in 1986 by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid AL Maktoum. In 2007 the Irish private equity firm FL Partners bought the Racing Post, which at this had become a widely recognized authority on horse racing news. Up until this day it remains the sole daily newspaper of its kind in the UK, offering content that covers horse racing, greyhound racing and a variety of other sports.
