It all started in January 2002. Originally nuke came up to fuse and asked him if he was interested in creating a website that covered MMO (Massively Multi-Player Online) games in general. At the time fuse nearly had over 4 years experience designing websites. However mainly only had background knowledge in C++ and HTML. Nevertheless, he kindly accepted to go in halves on creating a website.
The design began, the resulting couple of months produced a design. However the series of following designs made had nothing much to offer - there was a lack of starting base. nuke again approached fuse with a new idea. He came across a portal system known as PHP-Nuke. During the time it was the portal of portal systems, and our host just so happened to support MySQL/PHP, but all of that seemed so foreign; especially the saying "We need to install phpmyadmin before we can use PHP-Nuke". In a forray of confusion we gave up on that idea and produced a very simple HTML coded site. However we did have vBulletin running as our forum which was clearly PHP/MySQL, but it was simple enough to use even a person of of limited background could use it.
A mix of curiousity and flexibility possiblities soon got fuse and nuke working on a PHP powered site. The first simple codings such as includes allowed for increased templating capabilities. Followed by that was starting to read information from extracted data.grf information. nuke went on vacation and while he was gone fuse went ahead and changed the entire site over to PHP, and ran the entire site through a w3.org/validator. This sparked jealously which later led to threats from both admins to sabotogue the site in spite of the other.
