From its inception, the company, founded by Robert Bane, was inspired by New York and London's photorealist movement of 1960's and 1970's and by the classic pin-up artists of the 1930's through the 1960's.
Robert Bane LTD Inc. opened its doors in 1983 after discovering the alluring and sensuous art of Olivia DeBerardinis.
