Reading-tutors is an expansion of the vision that built Reading A-Z: affordable, downloadable reading resources. Many Reading A-Z users urged us to create materials specifically for tutors who may or may not be as well trained in teaching reading as teachers. Thus, Reading-tutors was born. The Web site provides tutor program coordinators with ready-made packets for all the major areas of reading development.

Many children need extra help outside the classroom to be good readers and successful students. Reading-tutors provides that something extra. Reading-tutors is a low-cost, easy-to-use collection of professionally developed resources for all types of reading tutor programs. The downloadable materials are designed for use by anyone who tutors children in need of extra reading instruction.

The program consists of nearly 400 downloadable lesson packets, each with complete resources for assessment and a well-structured tutoring session. Materials can be quickly printed and assembled. The program includes assessments to diagnose student weaknesses that can be addressed using Reading-tutor resources.
