Complementary medicine is first and foremost a way of thinking and a way of life. This approach views the individual as a part of the universe, actually a microcosm (like a small universe). Therefore, all the forces active in the universe also act on and through each individual. In the same way that an imbalance between various natural forces can bring about disharmony and cause natural disasters, this imbalance can also affect individuals, and with time, may even cause disease. Individuals also affect the universe and this is where our responsibility as inhabitants of the universe lies - to take care of its resources, to guard the cleanliness of its air, the purity of its water and to sustain the continuity of ourselves and the universe as a whole.
Reidman College is guided by these principles and sees its mission not only in teaching various therapy techniques, but also in contributing towards creating an ever-growing public awareness of the importance of sustaining the wholeness and richness of the world in which we live. Our teachings foster the healing quality of love and the pursuit of happiness and peace. Our study programs include instruction in positive thinking and the development of the ability to listen to one's inner voice.
More and more, a growing segment of the public acknowledges how vital these issues are for their quality of life and well-being. This segment of the population strives to live a natural, balanced life and tries to avoid consuming food or medication that could damage their health. Many of these people are searching for the appropriate education to enable them in choosing their lifestyle wisely and giving them tools to improve their health and well-being, and the health and well-being of those around them.
