About Us
The idea for Resource Revival sprung from my imagination in 1991 when I got a flat tire while biking to my recycling job. In 1994 I started shipping my first products from a corner of my bedroom. Today we are a team of artists, designers and customer service people recycling thousands of pounds of used parts and shipping to customers all over the world.
A Somewhat Brief History
1991 - Graham gets a flat tire on his bike. Thinks "hmmm, interesting material." Finds out that the average bike shop throws away about a 1,000 inner tubes a year and that there are 7,000 bike shops in the United States. Does the math. Begins crusade to recycle bike parts but gets distracted by his day job and finishing his masters degree.
1994 - After three years of research, Resource Revival, Inc. is launched out of Graham's room in a rental house in NW Portland. REI is our first major customer, buying hundreds of the now discontinued Tube Tie straps.
