About Us
My name is Karey Cummins and I am owner, manager, designer, cook, janitor, and webmaster of this site. (And you thought I was a big corporation, didn't you?) I have been creating web sites and designing computer graphics since early 1998. After coming from a background in fine arts, making the move from brushes and paints to the new digital medium was a natural transition. (And now I don't have all of those brushes to clean!)
FrontPage has changed a lot over the years. I first saw the program in action when a friend was using FP97. I dashed to the computer store for my own copy about 30 minutes after FrontPage 98 hit the shelves. I didn't have a clue what HTML was or how I was going to get my own site on the Internet, but naively figured that if others could do it so could I. After all, how hard could it be? Lots of learning hours later I upgraded to FP2000 and then to FP2002 and now to FP2003. Each version just keeps getting better and there is still a lot to learn as the Internet and technology march forward.
Now days there are so many template sites that are selling what they call FrontPage compatible templates. Well, sure it may be compatible with FrontPage -- just like a fish is compatible with water -- but was that template designed in FrontPage?
