Rails to Trails of Central Pennsylvania - Featuring the Lower Trail

Description

pulled from site's meta description

Rails to Trails of Central Pennsylvania strives to create an enjoyable atmosphere for people of all ages and of varying interests. The organization does this primarily through the conversion of abandoned railroad corridors, turning them into recreational trails for use by the public. We strive to utilize these resources by emphasizing their historic, natural and recreational aspects. Our featured trail, the Lower Trail is open to the public, free of charge, for hiking, jogging, bicycling, horseback riding, bird-watching, cross-country skiing, and other non-motorized recreation. The Trail also provides access to the river for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. The Lower Trail runs for almost 17 miles from near Canoe Creek State Park in Blair County northeastward to near Alexandria in Huntingdon County.
