A Miami beverage distributor agreed to lease five trucks, launching Ryder's full-service leasing business in the year 1938. The truck nimble increased to 50 by the year 1939. Ryder Programmed Maintenance Service was launched in year 1967. In the year 1986b company went in an acquisition with ATE Management and Service Company. International Division was formed in the year 1992. Asia Pacific headquarters were opened in the year 2001. In year 2006 company celebrated its 50 years, for trading in the public market. Over the years Ryder has evolved as a major supplier of supply chain and transportation management solutions generates nearly $5 billion in annual revenue.
