Saco Lowell Incorporated is a full line manufacturer of Textile, Fiberglass and Reclaim machines. It has a long and outstanding history dating back to 1813 when Francis Cabot Lowell first established the Boston Manufacturing Company with the objective of making textile products. About the same time an ironworks company was just starting business in Maine along the Saco River. These two companies eventually came together, added the resources of a third, and became the company that is today. By 1950s Saco Lowell had become one of the most prominent names in the industrial world.
Today, Saco Lowell is involved in manufacturing of yarn production equipment, from bale opening to yarn spinning and every step in between. cleaning, blending, carding, drawing and roving, are but some of the machines that are produced. These machines are designed for woven as well as non-woven markets. In addition, we have an extensive and proud history of building twisters and winders for the fiberglass and carpet industry. Also, we manufacture one of the most rugged and heavy dusty reclaim shredders in the world. It is designed primarily to process post industrial and consumer carpets, carpet remnants, non-wovens and other textile waste.
Saco Lowell products are designed to process cotton and synthetic fibers such as polyester, rayon, polypropylene and others.
