Safe-Stride International, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Colorado in 1984. The principle and founder of the corporation is Richard E. Colfels.
Mr. Colfels is a Marine Corps veteran of WW2. After the service and graduating from college he began working for General Motors Corporation eventually becoming Marketing Manager for one of its divisions. He retired after 20 years of service.
Having been in the automobile business for many years he knew that the Number 1 accidental killer in the United States was the automobile and that the slip fall was Number 2.
