- For anyone claiming to be a "native Arizonan" you surely understand our love of the desert and surrounding mountains we call home. Gerald and myself are excited to begin our 2007-2008 season at Saguaro Lake Ranch (pronounced Soo-WAR-oh) located in the midst of cactus studded hills, rolling green desert and sheer mountain cliffs. We want to share the desert beauty with local Arizonan's, returning visitors and first-time visitors to this area. Your ride will begin at the Ranch, established in 1930 in the historic oasis in the Tonto National Forest, which lies on the banks of the Salt River just below ten-mile long Saguaro Lake in the shadows of the scenic Goldfield Mountains.
