- The Historic 1-Year Lectionary of the Christian Church is a gem which has lost use within our congregations. After Vatican II with the appearance of the 3-Year Lectionary many congregations across Christendom began moving away from the 1-Year Lectionary. There are arguments for and against the use of both lectionaries, and the point of this page is not to debate them, but to aide those who still cling faithfully to the lectionary as the historic church used it.
