Description
Sandra Higgins is a dealer in fine art, art books and objets d'art. She has over 25 years experience in visual arts. Starting as an artist she then became a teacher and art historian/lecturer. She moved from Chicago to London in the 1980’s and opened her own contemporary art gallery in Mayfair which became known for its atelier-like atmosphere where clients were able to meet artists in informal and intimate surroundings.
Continuing with that personal approach and style, she now deals privately from her premises in a Victorian artist’s studio in Blackheath, London. Her stock is an eclectic mix of drawings, prints, paintings, photography, sculpture and art books: genres include abstraction, surrealism and outsider art.
With many contacts in the art world, she can expertly source art and objects of all types and can arrange tours of galleries and artist’s studios.
