The concept of SantaFeStation.com was first conceived by David Goldberg of TelActive, Inc. Web Development of Santa Fe. While there were many fine web sites about Santa Fe and New Mexico, there was no one which was truly dedicated to the individual small and medium sized businesses in our area. These days, having a web site is about the same as having a business card or a brochure. However, the cost and complexity of building or buying your own web site is often too much for a small business, at least for the first foray onto the Internet. What we felt was needed was an easy and inexpensive solution that would allow every small business to have an attractive mini-site on a high profile hub site that would be well advertised and represent them in a professional manner.
Santa Fe is in the unique position of attracting visitors from around the globe. A large part of Santa Fe's income depends on tourism and its attendant businesses. This means that a large proportion of our population either comes here to visit (and often returns) or moves here from elsewhere. This is the perfect demographics for Internet advertising. The World Wide Web is the long arm that reaches the more than 300 million people that now access the Internet every day. Where people used to read travel brochures before beginning a trip, now they search the Internet for complete information on their destination. They should be able to find comprehensive information about our unique and important businesses before they arrive in Santa Fe. This will make them more targeted and focused visitors and shoppers. Also, a site like this is a useful tool for locals as well, offering much more visuals and information than the Yellow Pages.

This will be approximately 2-3 screens of text and pictures, attractively laid out to present your business in a professional manner. The text and pictures can be supplied by you or we will help you to create these. Once the page is created, it will be mounted in one of the appropriate categories on the SantaFeStation.com web site. Besides an introduction to your business, it will contain all the necessary information for visitors to contact and find you including a link to your own existing web site and/or e-mail address, if you have these.
