- Schmozzle is the musical limb of Stef who used to be in the 90s indie rock band Peachfuzz. Schmozzle is based in Melbourne, Australia. Its nerve centre, if it can be called that, is a Mac running ProTools in a converted garden shed somewhere in the inner northern suburb of Coburg, nestling among the halal bakeries and Greek cake shops. Schmozzle is influenced by DIY artists who make beautiful sounds with rough tools - particularly Guided by Voices, the Grifters and Pavement - and indie keyboard punchers like Pablo's Eye and Squarepusher who reuse, recycle and spit out new brews from the bones of the old. Plus bands that can rock and sway in the same breath.
