Our nurses have been extensively trained in orthopedic problems and are very valuable on practical tips regarding prescriptions, special shoes, splints, etc. They can answer most of your phone questions, which frees up the doctor to focus on the patients who are in the office that day.
The doctor's secretary helps you with prescription requests and other needs. If you have a problem and you're not certain who to talk to, she is a good place to start. She is experienced in how our office works and can do the trouble shooting for you.
The telephone operator tries to answer all calls, since we realize how frustrating those answering machines can be. Remember, though, that in an office this size she can get a dozen calls at once. She'll want to transfer your call to the right person as quickly as possible.
