Title

San Diego Computer Society

Description

The San Diego Computer Society is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1976 to provide information and education for and to microcomputer owners and users in San Diego County. The Society has affiliated Special Interest Groups (SIGs) representing virtually every type of computer and operating system.

SDCS Members represent all aspects of computer use. They run the gamut from those just beginning to explore computers to advanced users, computer engineers, and programmers who are willing to share their knowledge with others. You are sure to find others equal to your level of skill and experience so there is no need to have fears about fitting in. The San Diego Computer Society is active in serving its community. Along with its computer education efforts, we are proud to devote our time and technical expertise to the Schools of San Diego County.

The Society's School Assist Program has saved the schools of San Diego County $3.5 million. We have donated over 10,000 hours since 1995. We do this in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education, the coordinating agency for the 43 school districts of San Diego County. Most of our efforts in this area are toward wiring schools for the Internet.
