Jim: A primary focus and hobby for me for the past five years has been the creation of cohousing, particularly ours. I'm a native Seattleite, and after graduating from Shorecrest High, I went off to Harvard, where I majored in Physics, and particularly enjoyed my classes in art history. During my senior year, four of my classmates and I conspired to climb Mt. McKinley, which we summitted the following summer. I think the preparations and climb provided me with some good experience for the interpersonal and strategic aspects of creating cohousing. These days I work at the University of Washington in the Depatment of Bioenineering, where I study the metabolism of heart muscle. I enjoy skiing, cross-country frisbee and partner dancing.
