We are 600,000 members strong in California and proud to be part of the largest and fastest growing union in the United States, the Service Employees International Union, with over 1.8 million members nationwide.
SEIU California State Council's mission is to to improve the lives of working people and their families and lead the way to a more just and humane society. SEIU fights for jobs with decent wages, health care, pensions, working conditions and opportunity for advancement. SEIU also works in coalition with the consumers of services its members provide to enhance economic opportunity and the quality of life in our state by advocating for and improving those services.
The State Council strives to build greater unity among all SEIU locals in California, and to mobilize our membership to pursue an action-oriented, issue driven agenda that improves the lives of the workers we represent.
