Five years ago, the only review board that we were used to was Trev's. It provided a great resource of information, however it was not moderated and was prone to spammers and guys & gals posting false and misleading information. George took it on himself to look for a forum that punters could bring reviews to and also with the intention to have working women contribute and share their views so that punters could learn from the other side.
Fun in Australia (FIA) was born. We had characters like Yuckmouth, Miss Sera, Miss Brittany coming to join us and it was the start of our little community. Eventually Delphiforums introduced a pay user structure and we were concerned that adult forums like FIA would be shut down. We looked at alternatives and still decided that Delphiforums was still the best community building tool out there. We moved house to More Fun in Australia (MFIA) where we continued to grow.
There were many growing pains while we continued, however it was evident that it wasn't just a review site, for the sake of having reviews. There were plenty of sites out there by now. However SDU grew to be a community of like minded individuals making SDU a little part of their lives.
