- R&D started programming for Web applications in 1995. At the time, we made the decision to host with "partners". We did not want a hosting facility. However, soon it became apparent that we would need to have a place to host our Customers applications as many of our Partner Company's were not handling THEIR customers (and by way of that, our customers) as well as we wanted. It was not unusual for our customers to be put on hold or to be pawned off onto level one or "tier" one support only to have to come back to R&D to handle the issues.
