is essential for their emotional and physical well being. Our carriers are all designed with this principal in mind. We have designed our carriers to be straight forward, comfortable and intuitive to use so you will be inclined to use them more often. By using your carrier more often the amount of physical contact between yourself and your child will increase, and you will both be happier and more relaxed.
We use cloth diapers for three reasons. The first is that disposable diapers make a huge environmental impact by not being biodegradable, also chemicals which are harmful to the environment, bleach for example, are used in their manufacture. We are not interested in making our own landfill deposits or contributing to the toxicity of our water supplies and environment. Secondly, the crystals formed when a child urinates in a disposable diaper can work their way out of the diaper and into the child's genitalia. We are not comfortable with these crystals being in such close contact with our childs reproductive system. Finally, cloth diapering is a far more economical option when compared to disposable diapers. We have calculated that by the time Olivia was 10 months old we had spent as much on our diapering stash (including cloth wipes, wet bags, travel bags and pails) as we would have spent on disposable diapers and wipes to that point. Therefore, we have concluded that we are now only paying for the water and detergent we use to launder the diapers. The diapers themselves are, in effect, free from now on. If we have any more children their bums will be covered, and their messes contained, for free.
