Description
Will, a sixteen-year old from Georgia, has been a Mets fan since he was eight. Believe it or not, his father (also a Mets fan) attempted to make him a Braves fan before that point. Before everyone jumps on him, you must remember that the Mets were in the NL East while the Braves were in the NL West at the time, and Mr. Musto wanted Will to be able to cheer for a home-town team. After spending who knows how much money on Braves memorabelia, a lot of which Will still - unfortunately - owns, Will chose to align himself with the Mets. Other than that, Will can claim to have been at all but one Mets game at Turner Field from 1998-2003, seeing countless losses at "The Ted," including the infamous Kenny Rogers game. He was at Shea Stadium for both the 16-0 harrowing loss to the Braves on July 2, 1999 (although Matt Franco pitched in that game), as well as the 9-8 win the week later over the Yankees, the game that included a certain Matt Franco hit against a certain Mariano Rivera into a certain right field. Joe, an eighteen-year old from Connecticut, has been rooting for the Amazin's since he was 7 years of age. Growing up his mother watched the Mets, and was a Met fan since their beginning in 1962. So Joe just got addicted, and since then the Mets have been a big part of his life. Joe and his mother still attend Met games together, usually around 5 per season. Joe has not really attended any important Met games, they were all just random ones throughout the year. Joe's claims to fame include catching a foul ball hit by Karim Garcia in May of 2004 and attending the only rainout of the Mets 2005 season vs the San Francisco Giants. Joe began writing in January of 2005 when he wrote for Rounding Third Knight, which eventually evolved into SheaBaseball.com. Joe is the Editor In Chief, Message Board Moderator and a writer for SheaBaseball.com.
