- Marianne Mayeux got the entrepreneurial bug in 2001 while on her European wedding trip. As a born lover of fashion, she swooned over the unusual styles, boutiques and stores she encountered while there. Her husband, Larry, had the idea to take some of the clothing home to see if her friends would buy it. He offered that since people frequently ask her where she gets her clothing and/or accessories, she should consider starting a fashion import business. She agreed and made some purchases. Back home in Houston, she sold everything to her friends. And so on a beachfront promenade in Positano, Italy, a fashion entrepreneur was born.
