Who is Goddess?
Goddess is Dixie Vogel in real-life, a web designer in Small-Town Kansas, USA. She began her own weight-loss journey under a dire pre-diabetes prediction from her doc, made more immediate by a family history of the disease on both sides of her family. She decided it was seriously time to clutch it up and address her life-long weight problem. After some soul-searching followed by scouring the internet for before-and-after photos that featured people heavier than she was - a challenge for sure! - she opted to go low-carb. Goddess started low-carbing for real in November, 2003, and has lost 108 pounds to date (07/05).
What can you expect from the Shrinking Goddess?
Goddess is best known for her directness (read = "bluntness"), and has been voted "most likely to say what everybody else is thinking, but are simply too polite to say." She's been called many, many things, including smart, funny, crazy, loud, the "Reality Check Queen," and some other, rather colorful phrases she doesn't care to repeat, as children may be present.
